Access Statement for Painter's Corner, Heacham



Introduction

Painter's Corner is a listed building used for holiday lets. The access is across a lawned common land. As it is a listed cottage building, alteration to access facilities is very difficult/impossible

 
Pre-Arrival

• The High Street of the large village of Heacham is approximately 1/2 a mile (10 minute walk). The seaside town of Hunstanton is approximately 2 miles distant (1/2 hour walk). The Town of King's Lynn is 14 miles distant.
• A 1/2 hourly bus service to Hunstanton and King's Lynn is a short walk away. There are a number of taxi firms in the area.
• This is a self-catering cottage, small shops are available in Heacham and there are two major supermarkets in Hunstanton. 
• As the toilet facilities are on the 1st floor which are accessed by a narrow steep stair, the accommodation is not suitable for guests with a physical impairment. The property has low beams, narrow stairways etc. and those with visual impairment will need to be accompanied. Guests with hearing impairments should not be concerned.

 
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• There are no allocated car parking spaces, parking is available on an unmade road adjacent to the property and parking there is usually not a problem. Access to the cottage is across a lawned green (no path) therefore guest should be capable of carrying their cases, shopping etc for approximately 25 meters. 

 
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area

• This is a small holiday cottage and thus there is not reception area etc.

 
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc

• This is a two storey cottage which is one of the oldest properties in the village. The floor covers are mainly carpet. Guests will have exclusive use of all facilities including a secluded rear garden. 

 
Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc

• This is an old cottage which is for the exclusive use of the guest. It contains all facilities that would be expected in a holiday cottage obviously does not have any lifts, escalators, public telephones etc.

 
Public WCs

• There are no public WCs in the property. There is, of course, WC facilities for the guests.

 
Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar area, Take Away & Cafe

• This is self-catering establishment

 
Outdoor Facilities

• Secluded rear garden

• We have a clear no smoking policy through out.
